Woman Crashes into Empty Storefront at Bristow Center

Posted

According to an eyewitness, a car drove into an empty storefront in Bristow Center around 1:15 p.m. Friday.

Prince William County Police Sergeant Marty Douglas, who responded to the accident, reported a female, driving under the influence of alcohol crashed her car into 10322 Bristow Center Drive, the former Wing-It restaurant.

“A person under the influence of alcohol drove into the shopping center, failed to stop and drove into the building,” Sergeant Douglas said.

Douglas also said that the woman, uninjured, was arrested at the scene.

Tony Singh, Manager of the Pizza Hut next door, said he was working when he heard a bang and ran outside. There he saw an older model white Honda sedan, possibly a Civic, protruding from the glass front of the former Wing-It restaurant.

Singh called 911 and waited for police to arrive.

Like most of the storefronts at Bristow Center, the front was mostly glass.

Bristow Beat will provide more details as they become available.
