EMPTY SHELTER PROJECT: Pit/Boxer Zoey Loves Cats, Dogs, Children

Posted

If you're looking for a well-rounded, smart, adorable and loving addition to the family, look no further. Zoey is the girl for you! Zoey is a Pit/Boxer mix believed to be about 2 years old.

Zoey was pregnant while living at a packed animal shelter in West Virginia. There, she gave birth to a whopping 13 puppies! Zoey proved to be a wonderful mother to her babies. Now that they all have been adopted, she's ready for her turn at a great new life, hopefully into a furever home of her own.

Zoey is compatible with just about any kind of family. Her foster family says she's a great girl who adjusted quickly to their home. She is currently being fostered with a cat; the two animals are getting along well. She also does well with other dogs and with children. She's potty trained (another plus!) and listens well.

This little girl has that happy-go-lucky personality that is typical of a Pit, and she also displays a "Boxer wiggle" in which she wags her bum when she's happy.

Those who want to add a little more happiness into their family should contact the Empty Shelter Project about adopting Zoey today!

If you can see Zoey being the right pet for you, please contact the volunteers at the Empty Shelter Project (ESP) by phone: 571 288 2878 or 571 991 9642, email: adopt@espnova.org or find us on Facebook!

Besides Zoey, the ESP has a number of dogs and cats all needing to be adopted. They can help you find one right for you and your family.

The Empty Shelter Project is an all-volunteer foster-based animal rescue group in Prince William County dedicated to saving the lives of animals in danger of euthanasia in animal shelters across America. ESP also strives to help educate the public about issues regarding the pet overpopulation crisis to help prevent and decrease the amount of animals entering shelters annually.
