Grafton Street Restaurant to Add Sunday Brunch

Posted

Beginning June 16, Father’s Day, Grafton Street at 7380 Atlas Walk Way in Gainesville will begin serving Sunday Brunch and featuring live music.

According to owner/operator Justin Holohan, the local independent Irish restaurant will serve brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Sunday Brunch is an integral part of our business plan,” Holohan said. “Grafton Street brunch is unique in that it offers a more ‘neighborhood feel.’”

Brunches will include fresh made dishes, to which diners will  have the option of adding creative cocktails. Holohan and staff also plan on having live acoustic performances on Grafton Street's outdoor patio, which is the largest in the Gainesville area.

This Sunday for Father’s Day, the brunch menu includes lemon blueberry pancakes, cinnamon-raisin French toast, made-to-order omelets and Eggs Benedict. Also available is a selection of Mimosas, Bellini’s and Bloody Marys.

For entertainment, New Legacy Duo, led by Glenn Dewey, longtime professor of music at George Mason University, will perform a mix of jazz, light pop and funk from 11 a.m. to 2 pm.

“Having Glenn head up the music component is important and is in keeping with our neighborhood feel,” Holohan said. “Glenn has lived locally for 19 years and is well-known in music circles throughout the region.

Holohan hopes that the brunch menu will be well-received by churchgoers and morning shoppers. As Grafton Street is one of the few independent restaurants in the area, he believes brunch can be a real treat for people who want something authentic, fresh and unique to be enjoyed outdoors on the patio, in their formal dining room or casual Irish bar.

He announced that the last part of Grafton’s Street’s business plan, the launch of their Private Dining Room, is now complete, and they are taking reservations for private parties.

“The dining room has been completely remodeled, and already we have hosted end-of-the year parties for local kids' sports teams as well as events for the community and business groups,” Holohan said.
