Fire Dept. Falsely Summoned to Youth of Tomorrow

As a result of an altercation between a staff member and two residents, the fire department was falsely summoned to Youth of Tomorrow in Bristow a little after midnight on April 6.

According to Prince William County Police, a fire alarm was pulled in the facility in response to an assault. The victim of the assault was a 54-year-old man from Montclair, who works at the facility.

The police reported that two residents of the facility had assaulted the staff member. In response, other staff members arrived to break up the encounter at which point one of the residents pulled the fire alarm at the facility, unnecessarily summoning the fire department.

The accused is a 16-year-old Bristow male, who has been charged with assault and battery as well as falsely summoning the fire department. The other young man, also a 16-year-old resident of Bristow, was charged with assault and battery.

The court date for the accused teens have not been released, but both are being held at the juvenile detention facility.
