Posted

On top of the upcoming snow and cold, the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington has issued a Wind Advisory from 2 a.m. to noon Friday.

Forecasters expect northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts around 50 mph.

There is concern that these winds could cause scattered tree and power line damage.

NWS suggests that residents secure outdoor furniture and take care driving high-profile vehicles.

Unseasonably cold weather will also settle into the region Friday and Friday night.

“Potentially colder weather may impact the area next week with wind chill values below zero Monday night through Tuesday night,” NWS said.

Bristow Beat will monitor the weather and post updates throughout the event.
