Prince William County Schools has announced that if inclement weather closes schools Monday, Jan. 26, the scheduled teacher workday would not be rescheduled; Tuesday will remain a regular school day for students.

According to school officials, they would give teachers extra time to complete grades.

"Check pwcs.edu or other regular communication channels after 5 a.m. Monday morning. If a Code Red or Gode Green Closing is declared, affected staff need not report. If that happens, grade submission and report card dates will be pushed back to allow all work to be completed," PWCS said in a statement sent to employees.

Instructional staff will be alerted to any necessary revisions to the grading schedule.
