Original Story:

The National Weather Service is following a low pressure system that could bring heavy snow Sunday afternoon into Monday.

"Highest confidence for moderate to significant snowfall, especially west of I-95," a NWS forescaster said. "Precipitation should be mostly snow for the entire event."

Weather models are beginning to agree that temperatures will trend colder, which will make conditions favorable for accumulations.

The weather service said the storm could impact both the morning and afternoon rush hours on Monday.

"There is a chance that some light snow may still linger Monday night into Tuesday," NWS said.

Temperatures will remain well below normal on Monday.  Milder air returns Wednesday and Thursday.
