Weather System Could Make for ‘Messy Monday’

It seems March will indeed come in like a lion.

As the region enters meteorological spring Saturday, a cold front Sunday will bring with it a mix of rain, sleet and snow.

“Low pressure is expected to develop Sunday night, which will make for a messy start to the workweek,” a National Weather Service forecaster said. “As the event draws closer we will attempt to get more specific with precipitation type.”

Forecasters are calling for a chance of rain before 8 p.m. Sunday night, then rain and snow into Monday.

“New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible,” they said.
