Hurry, online registration for the July 4th Freedom Firecracker 5K and Sparkler 1 Mile is filling up quickly!
This is a fun, family-friendly event in celebration of July 4th! The race is held at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center –the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. & the 1-mile run/walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
Wear your best-themed gear – you name it! A DJ will play music at the start/finish line throughout the event. All runners receive a custom race medal and t-shirt.
Both the 5k and 1-mile are open to all ages. The 1 Mile Run/Walk is a non-timed event geared toward our youth however runners of all ages and abilities are welcome – we encourage beginners to participate!
Special thanks to Iron Mountain Data Centers for their generous support of this local community event. A portion of the race proceeds will be donated to Hero’s Bridge. Hero’s Bridge is dedicated to serving elderly veterans, aged 65 and older.
