J. Crew Mercantile Launches First Area Store at Promenade at Virginia Gateway

Developer Peterson Companies announced Wednesday that  J. Crew Mercantile will open their first location in the Washington, D.C. area at the Promenade at Virginia Gateway November 2015.

Crew Mercantile in the market.” said Marc Menick, Vice President of Leasing, Peterson Companies.  “J.Crew’s classic casual styles perfectly complement Promenade’s fashion offerings.”

The 6,300 square foot Gainesville location will offer residents access to J.Crew styles for women, men and children at "value-oriented price points."

The chain launched in July 2015 by J.Crew Group, Inc. The company operates 261 J.Crew retail stores, 88 Madewell stores, jcrew.com, jcrewfactory.com, the J.Crew catalog, madewell.com, the Madewell catalog, and 142 factory stores.

The Promenade at Virginia Gateway is a 300,000 square foot retail center, which offers an upscale mix of retail, dining and entertainment. Businesses include Loft, White House Black Market, Francesca’s, Trummer’s Coffee & Wine Bar, Firebird’s, BJ’s Brewhouse, the recently opened Uncle Julio’s, and a 14-screen Regal Theater.
