Manassas Man Dies in I-66 Motorcycle Accident

Virginia State Police Trooper A. Aziz is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Fairfax County. The crash occurred July 4 at 12:33 p.m. on Interstate 66.

A 1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster was traveling west on I-66 when it ran off the interstate and struck a crash attenuator.

The motorcyclist, Eddie B. Short, 55, Manassas, Va., was transported to Fairfax Inova Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries later that same day. Short was wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigaiton.
