UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect in Manassas Bank of America Robbery

They have identified the suspect as Jake Thomas Love

UPDATE:  Today, Prince William police arrested the suspect sought in connection with the May 24 robbery of the Manassas Bank of America located at 7701 Donegan Drive in Manassas.

The accused, Jake Thomas Love, was located in the Manassas area.

"When officers went to take the accused into custody, he attempted to flee before being quickly detained," said Master Officer Renee Carr. "Officers also determined the accused was in possession of suspected illegal narcotics."

While inside the police vehicle, the accused struck his head against the plastic partition causing a laceration.

The accused, Jake Thomas LOVE, was treated and released at an area hospital.

Arrested on May 24: Jake Thomas Love, 29, of no fixed address, was charged with 1 count of robbery, 1 count of obstruction of justice, and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance

His court date is pending. Bond is unavailable. 

Bank Robbery  – On May 22 at 3:28 PM, officers responded to the Bank of America located at 7701 Donegan Drive in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery.

"The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on foot," said Officer Wade Dickinson with the Prince William Police Department. 

No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.

A police K-9 and Fairfax County police helicopter searched the area for the suspect, who was not located.

 During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jake Love and obtained a warrant for his arrest on May 22.

Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful. The suspect is known to frequent the area of Sudley Road and I-66.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information helpful to the investigation to contact police. The investigation continues.

Wanted:  Jake Thomas  Love, 29, of no fixed address is wanted for robbery.

He is described as a white male, 5"11", 175 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
