Prince William Police responded to an attempted burglary, which occurred in the 8400 block of Tackhouse Loop in Gainesville.
According to the homeowner, the incident occurred sometime between 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 12.
"Entry was attempted into the home through a rear basement window which was found damaged," police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok said. " No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing."
