Prince William County Police are searching for Edward Everett Hale, 35, of Glen Burnie, Maryland in connection with the murder of Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, of Bristow.

Police responded to the  shooting in the 12700 block of Lednock Way in Bristow 6:25 a.m. Sunday morning.

"The investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "During the encounter the suspect shot the victim before fleeing the area in a vehicle."

The victim, Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, died after she was transported to a local hospital.

"Through the investigation, detectives from the Homicide Unit were able to determine that the involved parties knew one another and that the incident was domestic related," Perok said.

Detectives quickly identified the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest; although Hale is no longer believed to be in the area.

Police describe Hale as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches, 190lbs with brown eyes, bald and a goatee.
