Two female teenage passengers and an adult male driver survived a serious car accident in Nokesville, Thursday evening, when the driver lost control of a vehicle.

According to Prince William Police, a single vehicle accident involving a Chevy pickup truck occurred on Fleetwood Drive near Hazelwood Drive, at 7:42 p.m., Dec. 18.

“ driver lost control of vehicle, and the vehicle rolled onto its side. No injuries,” Police spokesperson Officer Nathan Probus said.

According to lawyers sharing truck accident cases in Pasadena CA, the road was wet, which may have been a factor in the accident. Police are unable to verify if speeding was involved in the crash. According to eyewitness Clyde Wray, the driver attempted to make a sharp left onto Fleetwood Drive when he lost control of the vehicle.

“I was approaching the intersection in the opposite direction and witnessed the vehicle lose control, flipped upside down, traveling off the road’s shoulder and landed in the woods. The car was upside down. I flagged an approaching motorist for assistance, who called 911,” Wray said.

Wray said the adult male driver and two teenage girls, who were sitting in the back, were trapped in the vehicle.

“All doors were jammed and could not be opened. I spoke with the driver inside and he said there were no injuries to the occupants, but they were unable to get out,” said Wray. “In about 15 minutes, an off duty officer arrived and several minutes later, a Prince William police unit arrived. I provided a hammer, and they broke the driver’s side window.”

Wray said that the two teenagers were both able to crawl out the hole made in the side window, but the driver would not fit.

“A fire truck arrived on the scene as did several Prince William Police units.  I heard other sirens en route to the scene, said Wray, who left before his vehicle was blocked in as the road as it was being shut down. “I passed another fire truck and ambulance headed to the scene, on my way out.”
