Greenwich Presbyterian Hosts Diane Bish Concert

To dedicate the acquisition of a new organ, renowned organist Diane Bish will perform Sunday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m at Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville.

“The sanctuary in which we worshipped until very recently was built in 1858,” Director of Music Ministries Lon Quinones said. “We recently built a new building that houses a new sanctuary and acquired a new organ for the new sanctuary.”

Quinones the congregation is honored and excited to host the internationally-acclaimed organist.

“Diane Bish is one of the most famous organists in the world today. She has recorded over 500 programs for her TV program The Joy of Music, which features her playing the finest organs in the world.”

Greenwich Presbyterian Church regularly hosts concerts. In the past, they have welcomed Angela Knight, soprano, of the Washington Opera, tenor Michael Forest, organist Dr. Eileen Guenther, a string quartet from Bulgaria who had just given their début at Carnegie Hall, and composer and pianist Heather Sorenson.

Greenwich Presbyterian Church, with a current congregation of over 500, is located at 15305 Vint Hill Road in Nokesville.
