Manassas, VA: ARTfactory Pied Piper Theatre is proud to present the classic Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway. Directed by David Johnson and based on Damon Runyon’s famous stories of hoods and heroes of Broadway, this musical comedy features lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

Gambler Nathan Detroit is looking for cash to set up the biggest craps game in town. With authorities breathing down his neck, he makes a bet with high-roller Sky Masterson, hoping his problems will be solved. Meanwhile, he’s got his hands full with his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, who laments they’ve been engaged for fourteen years, all the while Sky is chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown.

Filled with beloved show tunes including “Luck Be a Lady,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” “A Bushel and A Peck,” and show-stopper, “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City.

Performances of Guys and Dolls, presented by ARTfactory Pied Piper Theatre will be held on January 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and January 21 at 2 p.m. in Merchant Hall at Hylton Performing Arts Center.
