Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer will come to Bristow Aug 31 in support of his latest studio album "Born and Raised."
This tour marks Mayer's first in three years, said Live Nation spokesman Jeremiah Xenakis. Mayer last performed at Jiffy Lube Live in 2010.
"Released in June 2012, 'Born and Raised,' the fifth Columbia Records album from seven-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist John Mayer, debuted at Number One in six countries--Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands and the United States--while hitting Number One on iTunes in 30 territories worldwide," Xenakis said.
Mayer's four previous albums have sold more than 17 million copies combined worldwide and he has won seven Grammy Awards.
Xenakis also announced that one dollar from each ticket sold will benefit The Veterans Health Research Institute NCIRE's work supporting returning veterans.
American Idol winner Phillip Phillips will open for Mayer .
