Orange Leaf Bristow's owner, Rufus manning, has spent months preparing his store for the opening. Orange Leaf Bristow's owner Rufus Manning announced Friday the closing of his shop.

Owner Rufus Manning announced Friday that he's closing his Orange Leaf frozen yogurt store in Bristow after three years of serving residents.

Manning attributed the closing to the current business climate. This includes an over saturation of similar businesses in the area.

Besides Orange Leaf, there are six local frozen yogurt shops

Orange Leaf is the second one to go out of business in Bristow. Sweet Creations in the Bristow Center closed September 2014 after a little more than a year in business. Sweet Frog in Gainesville has also closed.

Manning's shop's final day is Monday. He is encouraging patrons to stock up on his product this weekend.

Orange Leaf had become a familiar presence at swim meets and community events throughout Bristow.

"They have given the community so much over the past few years," Meg Holden of Bristow said.
