Peterson Companies Continue to Sign Tenants to new Promenade at Virginia Gateway

Posted

Despite the lack of any announcements of signings of new tenants to the highly anticipated lifestyle center, the Promenade at Virginia Gateway, promotional materials from the project's developer indicate that at least some of the shops and pads have been leased.

According to published documents, the developer has signed eight out of the 21 shops, and two of the seven pad sites.

In a June 5 presentation to the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, Peterson Companies Vice President Paul Weinschenk teased the public by revealing they had signed letters of intent from several restaurants and women’s apparel stores.

Since the presentation, via social media, residents have been actively discussing the identities of the new tenants. Initial speculation concluded that Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant and Nando’s Peri-Periwere the two restaurants that signed lease agreements. However, no confirmation has come from the Peterson Companies.

At the Board meeting, Weinschenk did confirm that Peterson Companies had discussions with Starbuck’s over a drive-thru concept store.

The developer's website reveals that the Peterson Companies have over 35,000 square feet of retail space and over 30,000 square feet of pad sites still available for leasing  at the Promenade at Virginia Gateway.
