The first baby born at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center this year was a baby girl from Bristow.

“Her name is Briana and she was born to mother Bobbie and father Jamie, of Bristow, Va at 1:21 a.m. on January, 1, 2014,” said Katie DeRosa, of Marketing & Public Health Relations for Novant Health.

Briana joined big sister Janelle and big brother Elijah.

Briana was born just one minute after baby Noelle Gray Wooldridge born at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg and reported on by NewsAdvance.com.

Briana was also born approximately 24 hours before the first child born at Stafford Hospital, baby boy Adrian Yassin Torrico, born on Jan. 2, at 1:20 a.m. and reported upon by Potomac Local.

The big news this year was a pair of Washington, D.C. fraternal twins, Lorraine and Brandon, born in different years at Medstar Washington Hospital Center.
