To accommodate possible bus delays, in unplowed or unpaved areas Prince William County Schools will open will open two hours late. However, despite the delayed opening warned that not all areas of the county will be completely accessible to buses.
“Please make plans to deal with unexpected delays,” Director, Communication Services Phil Kavits said. “Parents always have the option to keep children home if they have safety concerns.”
According to Kavits, the PWCS transportation has identified several potential problem areas, which include:

Deepwoods Lane
Hazelwood
Vent Hill Road/Bristow
Reid Lane
Bull Run Mountain/Route 15
Tiffany Lane
Ridge Road
Loudoun Road
Logmill (East of Rt. 15)
Lightner
Montclair Area
Edgewood Drive
Lake Jackson Area
McGrath Road
Manassas/Evans Ford
Evans Ford Road
Bent Tree Lane
"Due to predicted cold, avoid leaving children unattended at stops in the areas below," Kavits said. "If buses do not arrive within twenty minutes, please have them return home or use alternate transportation to school."
