An 11-year old male was the victim of a hit-and-run Wednesday morning at the junction of Iona Sounds Drive and Moray Firth Way in Bristow.

According to his parents, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a silver car, driven by a female, was heading down Iona Sounds towards Cedar Point Elementary and struck the boy.

“We are thankful that he is not hurt badly, he was hit on his side and hip, and took a tumble and got away with a scraped knee and couple of bruises,” Yolanda Drake, the boy’s mother, posted on Facebook. “Police are helping with the investigation; I appreciate all the info I can get.”

While there were witnesses to the accident, no one was able to get the license plate number.
