policecrusierclosePrince William County Police charged a 16-year-old male of Manassas with robbery, carjacking, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of stolen property following an incident that occurred around midnight June 24 in the area of the 10400 block of Saint Croix Lane.

According to police, a 29-year old Catlett man was delivering pizza and was flagged down by the suspect near the delivery address.

"The accused informed the victim that he called for the pizza and was waiting for a friend to bring money," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "During the encounter, a second male suspect approached the victim; this suspect displayed a weapon and ordered the victim to the ground."

Perok said both suspects took the victim's money, the pizza, a cell phone and his car keys, before the teen got into the victim's car and left the scene, while the accomplice fled on foot.

"An officer responding to the scene located the victim’s car in a nearby parking lot," he said. "When the officer approached the vehicle, the accused jumped out of the driver’s seat and fled on foot."

The victim’s vehicle was recovered without any damage.

Police employed a helicopter and K-9 unit to search for the teen, who was eventually located and arrested without incident. He is held at the Juvenile Detention Center.

The other suspect is still at large.

Police are searching for a black male, between the ages of 15-19 years-of-old, 6 foot 1 inch, with a thin build, last seen wearing a red shirt with cut-off sleeves, gray basketball style shorts and a ski mask.
