Prince William County Police responded to PACE West in Gainesville Thursday morning for reports of a disorderly student.

“Staff members reported to police that a student made threats to the school and to harm staff members,” police spokesman Jonathan Perok said. “School Resource Officers investigated the claim and discovered that the student became disorderly after arriving at the school that morning.”

According to police, the 16-year-old male student was separated from other students by school staff members when he made verbal threats.

Following an investigation, police removed the student from the school and charged him with two counts of threats on a school staff member.

The teen’s court date is currently unavailable and he is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
