Die Hard Cowboys Fan Hosts former Redskin at Bristow Deli

HensonRegular customers of Tom & Suzie's NY Bagel Deli know owner Tom Badolato is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Therefore, many were shocked when he announced he would host former Washington Redskins linebacker Robert Henson at the shop after Washington beat his favorite team last Sunday.

Following the game, Badolato and his wife Suzie [a New England Patriots fan] contacted Hansen to make a gentlemen’s bet.

"If the Cowboys won, Robert Henson would have to wear my Tony Romo Jersey in my store for pictures, If the Redskins won, I would have to wear his Jersey #51 in my store for pictures," Badolato said. "Needless to say, I lost the bet; however, being the good sport, we want to pass along some good things for our local community that has been faithfully supporting our business in the eight months we have been open."

Henson will be at the store Sunday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.to sign autographs and take pictures with fans; Reverend Redskin and the Redskins Hummer will also appear.

Badaloto, a Dallas Cowboys fan since he was 5-years-old, was influenced by a young neighbor, who was a fan.

"The kid that lived across the street from me growing up, his father was NYPD and a HUGE giants fan. His Father’s Brother lived in Texas and was a Cowboys fan; to tick off his brother, he sent his nephew a Roger Staubach jersey," he said. " asked me who my team was, I said I didn’t have one. He said 'I am a Dallas Cowboys fan,' I said 'ok me too' and just stayed that way for 41 years."

Tom & Suzie's NY Bagel Deli is located at 9110 Devlin Road in Bristow.
