Gainesville Man Arrested for Selling Prescription Narcotics

Walid Khalid of Gainesville was arrested June 7 for illegally selling prescription medications in Prince William County.

Police charged Khalid with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I or II narcotic and possession of marijuana.

According to Police, Khalid’s arrest concluded a narcotics investigation conducted by the Prince William County Street Crime Unit. As a result of the investigation, Khalid’s Gainesville home was searched.

“Prescription medications, marijuana and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency were recovered,” police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok said, and the arrest was made "without incident."

Khalid’s court date has been set for August 16. He is being held without bond.
