Gainesville Man Charged for Involvement in Armed Robbery

Prince William County Police charged two men in the armed robbery of a residence in the 16300 block of John Marshal Highway June 3.

Police charged Sean Ugochukwu Ezike-Onyejekwe, 21, of Gainesville, and Edward Jerald Coleman, 22, of Manassas, with two counts of robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

According to the vicitim, a 20-year-old man of Broad Run, he arranged a meeting with the two men in his residence.

“Once there, two of the men entered the residence where one of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “The two men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before getting onto a motorcycle and fleeing the area.”

Police report that a third suspect fled the area in a separate vehicle.

“The victim followed the men to the area of Saint Thomas Loop where the men fled on foot,” Perok said.

The men were identified as Ezike-Onyejekwe and Coleman, whom police from the Robbery Unit arrested June 11 following an investigation.

Police did not release court date or bond information.
