Gainesville Women Attacked with High Heeled Shoe, Keys in Parking Lot

Prince William County Police responded to an assault in the Shoppers Square parking lot on Sept. 17.

According to the police report, the victim, a 45-year-old from Gainesville, was driving in the parking lot and was approached by Luz Besaida Machado Bolanos, 43, of Manassas, whom was known by the victim. The two engaged in a verbal altercation, which escalated.

“During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with her keys then a high heeled shoe," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "A passenger in the vehicle, a 67-year-old woman of Gainesville, attempted to break up the altercation; at that point, the accused assaulted her as well.

Both victims reported minor injuries from the reported altercation with the suspect.

The suspect, who remained at the scene, was charged with malicious wounding and assault and battery following an investigation.

A court date is unavailable, and the accused is being held without bond.
