Police are searching for the individual who stole a handgun and a gaming console from a residence in the 11100 block of Lonesome Road in Nokesville.
According to the owner, the burglary occurred in an unoccupied cottage on the property between 7:30 a.m. July 29 and 6 p.m. July 30.
"There were no signs of forced entry into the dwelling," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. "Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door."
The owner reported a handgun and gaming console, total value around $1,200, missing.
