Detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force arrested Darren Maurice Scott, 30, of Sterling, following a traffic stop May 7 in the area of Sudley Road and Balls Ford Road in Manassas.
Scott’s arrest was the result of an on-going narcotics investigation which led to the task force charging the suspect with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and distribution of marijuana.
“As a result of the investigation, marijuana was seized,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.
Investigators said the arrest was made without incident.
Police said information regarding this arrest was previously held for “investigative purposes.”
The suspect’s court date is Aug. 23, and he was released on personal recognizance at the time of the arrest.
