New Bristow Village Resident Captures Car Thief on Video

Posted

Residents of Bristow communities have reported a rash of car burglaries this summer.

This time, it’s the homeowners of New Bristow Village who were victimized.

However, one resident caught a suspect on video and another, who wished to remain anonymous, shared the video with Bristow Beat.

“A very smart neighbor got this photo from his security camera outside of his home,” she said. “Many concerned neighbors have posted this photo on our pages and neighborhood pages to seek help finding this person.”

According to the resident, the break-ins occur sporadically throughout the alleys in the neighborhood.

“Since we have several homes with garages behind the homes, this suspect seems to go through those alleys looking for unlocked cars, then taking what he can and moving on to the next,” she said.

The community neighborhood watch reports that robberies have occurred throughout the community on Poagues Battery Drive, Battalion Square, Frank Haskell Court, General Kirkland Drive and Henry Abbott Road.

“The incidents appear to be occurring after midnight and before 5 a.m," she said.

Residents have reported the incidents to the Prince William County Police Department.
