Nokesville Adults Arrested for Smoking Marijuana in Front of Teen

Following an investigation, detectives from the Special Victim Bureau charged Russell Sherman Crum, 46 and Sandra Elaine Turner, 40, of Nokesville with abuse and neglect.

“The investigation revealed that both of the accused individuals had smoked marijuana numerous times in front of the victim, a 15-year-old male, over the past several years,” said police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

According to police, on Dec. 4 detectives searched the residence in the 13600 block of Fleetwood Drive in Nokesville and located marijuana.

“The victim is currently in the custody of other family members,” Perok said.

Police charged Crum with child endangerment/neglect and possession of marijuana and Turner with child endangerment/neglect. Their court date is not yet scheduled and they are being held without bond.

The police investigation was in cooperation with Child Protective Services.
