NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory for Prince William

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain and snow until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The service warns of the possibility of a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet., with accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch of ice.

"A wintry mix of precipitation will continue overnight, changing to all rain Tuesday morning," NWS said.

Overnight temperatures will reach around 30 degrees.

"Ice and snow accumulations on roadways could result in hazardous travel," they said.

Rain should end in the early afternoon Tuesday, with temperatures reaching near 43 degrees.
