A nearly two-month investigation ended Sunday, with the arrest of the second suspect in the attempted robbery of an 18-year-old Manassas man.

Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, arrested and charged Jake Thomas Love, 21, of Manassas with attempted malicious wounding, attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police arrested Love March 8 at a Stafford residence in connection with the attempted robbery Jan. 16.

The victim made arrangements to meet Kendal Renee Stanley, 18, at her Launch Circle residence in Manassas. Police said that Stanley allegedly arranged for Love to rob the victim.

The suspect did not take any property or money.

Police arrested Stanley, Jan. 17, on two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and two counts of criminal solicitation.

Following an investigation, police eventually identified Love as the male suspect involved in the incident.

He was initially described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches, 160 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes.

Love's court date is March 17 and 18; Stanley's next court appearance is March 17.
