Prince William County Police arrested Joshua Vincent Molyneux, 23, of Manassas Feb. 2 for allegedly sending sexually explicit texts to a 16-year-old Haymarket boy.

According to police, Molyneux had been contacting the teen since sometime in 2013.

"The investigation revealed that the victim had met the accused through an online application in 2013," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "During the course of their relationship, the accused exchanged sexually explicit messages and photos with the victim via his cell phone."

Following an investigation by the Detectives from the Special Victims Unit, Molyneux was arrested without incident and charged with use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children.

Molyneux's court date was not released; he is being held without bond.
