Update, Oct. 20, 1 p.m.:  Police have confirmed that the body found on the baseball field is that of deceased murder suspect, Edward Hale. Oct. 20, 11: 22 a.m.: Prince William Police have announced that they have located the body of an adult male near the school baseball fields. The death appears to have been suicide. “The body matches the description of our suspect; however is not confirmed,” said a police spokesperson, posting on Facebook. “The investigation continues.” Updated, Oct. 20 11:15 a.m.:  A police source has indicated that they may be closing in on the suspect. Updated, Oct. 20 10:38 a.m.:  According to Prince William Police the search is continuing for Edward Hale. The Fairfax Police Helicopter completed their search and has left for refueling. A CBP Helo will be continuing to circulate above the school and adjacent areas. A police K-9 and Bloodhound are also being used to search for the suspect. Students, faculty and staff are safe as police continue their search. Updated, Oct. 20, 9:40 a.m.: Prince William County Schools announced that students from T. Clay Wood Elementary School are being transported to Brentsville Distric High School as a precaution due to continued police activity in the area. "All are safe and school activities will continue at Brentsville," PWCS posted on Facebook. They ask residents to avoid calling the school and not to pick up students as it might interfere with the management of the situation. Bristow Beat will continue to update the story. Updated, Oct. 20, 9:30 a.m. According to Prince William County Schools, T. Clay Wood Elementary School is now on precautionary lockdown status due to the investigation of Edward Hale's car, which was found on school grounds. "Students just arriving were diverted to Brentsville District High School," a PWCS official posted on Facebook. "All are safe but entry is restricted."
Patriot High School is in precautionary secure the building status, which means the school is secured from outside entry and all outside activities are cancelled "All inside school activities continue as usual," they said.
Original Story: Prince William Police reported that the car Edward Everett Hale used to flee the site of the murder of Jessica Wilson Sunday morning has been recovered in the parking lot of T. Clay Wood Elementary School in Bristow. According to police, the car was unoccupied. Police are searching for Edward Everett Hale, 35, of Glen Burnie, Maryland in connection with the murder of Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, of Bristow Sunday morning. "Officers are conducting an extensive check of the school property and surrounding area," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "T. Clay Wood ES and Patriot HS are aware of the situation and are taking necessary precautions. Perok said a police helicopter will be in the air checking to support the ground investigation. Hale was originally though to have fled the area. "It is unknown if the suspect is in the area.," Perok said. Police describe Hale as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches, 190 lbs with brown eyes, bald and a goatee.
