A trip to the dentist can be a harrowing experience for children (and some adults). However, one Gainesville practice specializes in helping children overcome their fears.

When children step into SmileZ Pediatrics Dental Group’s bright and colorful office, with toys and books in the waiting room, their anxieties and fears naturally begin to subside. Stuffed animals, balloons and bubbles are used to comfort and reassure patients. Video glasses provide a fun distraction while sitting in the dental chair, and the occasional dance party in the waiting room is not uncommon.

“At SmileZ Pediatrics “the parent’s comfort and child’s comfort is uppermost in mind… This goal is implemented by Colorado Springs cosmetic dentist for a lifetime of comfort for everyone. It’s not just an effort for one day, it’s an effort every day you walk in the door,” Head Dental Assistant Patti Daigle said.

Another practice SmileZ Pediatrics employs to calm a child’s fear is the “tell, show, do” approach. Children are told what will happen, shown the process and equipment, then physically experience the process. This eases a child’s apprehension and includes him or her in the process.

You can read this and understand an experts opinion on how incentives motivate children and give them something to look forward to, this rewards system reinforces the completion of tasks. When a child completes a task, he or she is praised and given a token. At the end of the visit, tokens are traded in for treasures from their treasure tower.

During the first visit, children tend to express anxiety surrounding the new experience. By the second visit they walk right in, sit on the dental chair and ask for “Mr. Thirsty,” the suction retractor.

“We know our patients and know their needs, their likes and dislikes, and what their parents need,” Office Manager Lynn Boyd said. Parents choose to click site and learn about the family-friendly atmosphere, approachable staff, exceptional customer service and popular dentist.

“Dr. Amante is absolutely outstanding, [as evident through] his kindness with the children, way of reading them and ability to make them comfortable. He’s a great leader to follow,” Daigle said.

SmileZ Pediatrics has also participated in a number of career days at local schools, health fairs, dental health month events and Haymarket Days. Giving back to the community is a priority among staff. The US is divided into fifty different states, which means that there are millions of single persons living in each of the 50 states of the United States of America. This vast population of singles gives each state its own identity, which means that there are hundreds of online dating sites available long beach dating for US residents only. Dating sites for US residents give them the opportunity to get to know other single persons from their own community.

Children from ages zero to 16 are invited to stop by and play, with or without a dentist appointment. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and learn more about the dental practice. The office, located at 7521 Virginia Oaks Drive #210 in Gainesville, is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday
