Prince William County Police responded May 26 to a Gainesville residence for the theft of two bicycles from a home on the 14000 block of Sterling Point Drive.
According to the homeowner, the burglary occurred between 11:30 p.m. May 24 and 5 a.m. May 25.
"The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Entry was made into an attached garage through an open overhead door; no entry was made into the main residence"
The residents reported the two bikes that were taken are valued around $2,000.
