Yvonne Selke, of Nokesville, and her adult daughter Emily were among the 150 people killed when Germanwings Flight 9525 crashed over the French Alps, Tuesday.

The U.S. State Department believed that the two Selke women were the only Americans onboard the flight, but are now saying there may be a third American. They have not yet released the name of that passenger.

Emily Selke is a 2013 graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia. Drexel's Zeta Gamma Sig Sorority tweeted that they are morning the loss of their sister, Emily and her mother, Yvonne.

Emily was also a 2010 graduate of Woodbridge Senior High School, having been a student in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts specialty program there. She graduated Suma Cum Laude.

Classmate Taylor Peevy Miller, who graduated from Woodbridge in 2011, said that "Emily had an adventurous soul," and would be remembered for that, as well as her sarcastic sense of humor.

American Idol contestant, Joey Cook, who attended Woodbridge's vocal program with Emily, had this to say about her on Facebook today.

Just found out about Emily Selke & i have no idea how to feel right now. She was one of the most beautiful souls ive ever had the privilage of singing with & knowing, in my entire life. One of the few people in highschool that made me feel not so crazy for the music i listened to & books i obsessed over. She was doing amazing things with her life and i was so excited to watch her take over the world.

All of my positive thoughts and energy go out to her family & friend family

I'll be seeing you in the next world sweet girl.

Yvonne Selke was a long-time employee of Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.

Raymond Selke, of Nokesville, husband and father of the deceased, said he was not prepared to comment at this time.
