VDOT Continues I-66 Lane Closures this Week

The widening project from the west side of the Gainesville Interchange to the west side of the Route 15/James Madison Interchange continues April 27 through May 1.

"When lane closures are expected, they can be anywhere within the project and shift locations daily within the project," a VDOT spokesperson said in a release. echo

The dates that the contractor has permission to close lanes, include:

• Between 10 a.m.  and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday on eastbound I-66.
• Between 7 a.m.  and 2:30 p.m.  Monday through Thursday and between 7 a.m. and Noon on Friday on westbound I-66.

"it does not necessarily mean there will be lane closures on all days; all lane closures are subject to change and weather permitting," they said.
