VDOT Expects No Issues for School Buses, Evening Commute

Despite the National Weather Service extending the Winter Weather Advisory until 8 p.m. today, the Virginia Department of Transportation says school buses and commuters should have no problems this afternoon.

According to VDOT Communications Manager, crews pretreated roads yesterday and are currently out on roads.

"This should be a non-event and the LAST one!" she said.

The National Weather Service expects the heaviest snow late this morning into the mid afternoon. Snow will continue through early evening.
