Image Courtesy of VDOTThe Virginia Department of Transportation announced they will close Aden Road/Route 646 to through traffic between Joplin Road/Route 619 and the southern intersection of Parkgate Drive from 5 a.m. Saturday, June 25 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 26 for pipe replacement, weather permitting.
Through traffic will be detoured via Joplin Road, Bristow Road, Old Church Road and Parkgate Drive back to Aden Road. Detour signs will be in place. Message boards are in place alerting motorists to the closures.
"Residents and businesses within the closure area, emergency vehicles and Quantico Marine Corps Base personnel will still have access during the closure," VDOT spokesperson Mike Murphy said.
