Victim Leaves Fight at Broad Run Swimming Hole; No Arrests

Witnesses report that a fight involving a 27-year-old male and four 18-year-olds occurred by a swimming hole in Bristow June 26.

One resident said the fight began as a much larger incident.

"A jogger banged on our door and asked us to call 911 and report a 'brawl' involving 23-30 young people by the swimming hole on Broad Run," a Bristow resident said. "She said she was a nurse and that the fight was a serious fight likely to result in injuries."

Crews from the Nokesville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene and treated a male with a head injury.

"The victim wasn’t cooperative and didn’t want to pursue anything," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "Left before the details could get sorted out.

Police said they did not know who started the altercation. No arrests were made.
