EMPTY SHELTER PROJECT: Meet Cookie, Pit Mix

Posted

Meet Cookie! She's a 1 or 2-year-old energetic Pit mix looking for a home to snuggle up in and a human to play with.

Cookie’s previous owners turned her in to a high-kill shelter in West Virginia. After being rescued by the Empty Shelter Project, a couple who volunteers with the organization quickly fell in love with her and agreed to foster her in their home for a time.

After living her entire life chained up outside, Cookie has taken to the indoor life! It didn't take this smart Cookie too long to figure out potty training, and she's getting along great with her foster brother, a handsome boy dog!

As Pittie lovers know, Cookie is pretty energetic and would love a big backyard or a running partner to keep her exercised. She's a little bit of a tomboy and likes being rough and tough outdoors, but don't mistake this sweetie- you'll catch her climbing into your lap for bedtime snuggles.

Her personality isn't lacking, and she's about as sweet as her name. Unfortunately, both black dogs and pit bulls are the last to find their forever homes, and Cookie has been looking for a little while. So, if you're looking for a sweet treat to wake up to for years to come, think about giving Cookie a furever home!

Cookie is already spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on her Rabies and Distemper vaccinations and tested negative for Heartworm, Lymes Disease, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia.
