Police Arrest Prince William 15-Year-Old for Assault on Family, LEO

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] –Prince William Police Officers responded to a residence located in the 7700 block of Quail Run Court in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic dispute, Feb. 24 at 7:13 p.m.

The investigation revealed the accused, a 15-year-old female, had assaulted a family member and prevented police contact before leaving the home.

Responding officers located the accused walking nearby and attempted to detain her.

"During the encounter, the accused actively resisted and refused to follow the officer’s commands," said Master Officer Renee Carr. "At one point, the accused bit an officer before being detained without further incident."

The victim reported minor injuries.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 15-year-old female juvenile, of Manassas, was arrested. She was charged with 1 count of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of obstruction of justice, 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, and 1 count of destruction of property. 

Her court date is pending. She is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center. 

PW Police is not releasing the suspect's name due to her being a minor.
