Prince William Fire & Rescue Responds to Manassas Townhouse Fire

Three adults, one child were displaced

Prince William Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire at the 10100 block of Cannon Ball Court in Manassa,  Monday, March 4 at 10:09 p.m.

"The occupants had smelled smoke and discovered a fire on home’s first floor," said Fire Marshal Matt Smolsky. "All safely evacuated prior to the arrival of fire and rescue units."

Crews arrived on the scene with fire observed from the front side of the structure, said Smolsky. 

Fire fighters quickly extinguished the fire, but the home still sustained  moderate damage.

No civilian injuries were reported. One firefighter was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

The Building Official posted the property unsafe to occupy, displacing three adults and one child. Red Cross assisted all residents.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
