Shooting Investigation – Feb. 17 at 11:07 a.m., officers responded to investigate a shooting that was reported to have occurred in the 10800 block of Balls Ford Road in Manassas, Prince William County, earlier that morning.
Officers were notified of a 50-year-old man being treated at an area hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body.
The man was not forthcoming with information as to what led up to the injury or further on a possible suspect(s) involved in the altercation. No crime scene or evidence of a shooting was located.
This incident does not appear to be random and there is no threat to the community.
