An investigation into domestic dispute concluded with the arrest of Terrance Divine Brown, 21, of Haymarket, who was charged with abduction, domestic assault & battery, and destruction of property.
Residents of the 7400 block of Old Carolina Road in Haymarket called Prince William County on the morning of Nov. 22 for a domestic dispute.
According to the victim, a 19-year-old woman of Haymarket, she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.
“During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by her hair and dragged her to another room of the residence,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. “The victim was able to break free and run out of the residence while another occupant called police.”
The accused followed the victim outside, pushed her into a vehicle and left the scene; however, the police located the vehicle on Thoroughfare Road, where they detained and arrested Brown following an investigation.
“The accused was detained and placed into the back of a police cruiser. Once in the back of the vehicle, the accused forcibly kicked the door multiple times causing damage to the window area,” Perok said.
Brown’s court date and bond information is currently unavailable.
