Man Arrested for Murder of Two Lake Ridge Women

Ronald Dorsey, Jr. is accused of murdering two women from the Woodbridge area.

Prince William Police took a young Woodbridge man into custody, Friday, who they believed murdered two Lake Ridge women: Erica Janelle Hickson, this week, and Lizeth Yadira Lopez, back in April.

Ronald Francis Dorsey, Jr., 19, of 3670 Golf Side Circle, Apt#402 in Woodbridge was charged with two counts of murder for the murder.

Both women were counselors at a youth facility, Intercept Youth Services, in Lake Ridge, where the accused lived.

“The victim was a counselor of the program tasked with supervising young adults housed in the complex,” said police spokesperson, Sgt. Jonathan Perok.”

Hickson had last been heard from Thursday at 8:30 p.m. when she was seen at Pond Run Drive in Lake Ridge, during her shift.

Police were conducting a thorough search for Hickson in conjunction with federal investigators when they located her body in a wooded area near Golf Side Circle, Aug. 5 around 1 p.m.

During the investigation, detectives from the Homicide Unit developed a person of interest, later identified as the accused.

The accused, Dorsey, resided in an apartment on Golf Side Circle near where the victim was found deceased. Dorsey was a resident of the non-profit program and was known to both victims.

"Homicide detectives were also able to link the accused to the death of Lizeth Yadira Lopez, who was also a counselor for the same program and was found dead, April 29," Perok said.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ronald Francis Dorsey Jr., was charged in connection with both deaths.

The murder of Erica Janelle Hickson is Prince William County’s 16th homicide for 2016.

Police received were aided in their search by a Fairfax County Police helicopter, a Virginia State Police bloodhound and patrol officers.

Later that morning, members of the Prince William County Search & Rescue Team, in conjunction with federal investigators from the ATF and FBI, conducted a second thorough ground search of the area, at which time, they located the deceased.
